Karin Tabke 1st Line Contest Update
I am very happy to report that Sharon Cullen and I are still in the running! (Insert wacky little jigg here.)
I'm posting my first 8 lines here for your enjoyment:
Elizabeth squeezed her eyes tight and turned her face away from the wicked-looking blade. She’d seen what it could do. Knew first hand the destruction it could bring.
The death.
“Please,” she whispered, a tear slipping down her cheek. “I...I can’t do this.”
Cold steel grazed the skin exposed by her low bodice and she flinched.
Well, there you have it. Wish us luck, people. And, if you want to see some fantastic writing, pop on over to Karin's Blog and check out the competition. It is fierce!

Congrats!! I've got my fingers crossed for you. :)
Thanks, Karin & Elisa!
I'm having a blast. There are so many stories that I want to read more of. I anticipate each new line of my favorites nearly as much as I hope to see mine still in the running. *BG*

Whoo hoo, Sandy! I hate Mondays, btw, because I work every Monday and have no computer available to keep hitting the refresh button. Wah! So I have to wait until about 7:00 each Monday night.
Congrats, girl!
You're still in the running? Thats awesome! Congrats! How many rounds are there?
PS - I'm kindof excited that you're in another battle of the blogs. I totally voted for you. Haha.
Sharon,
Ooooo that would be maddening for me. Not to be able to hit refresh 385,000 times until the round is posted. I shudder at the thought. *bg*
Cassie! Thank you for voting for me. :-) As for rounds left in the competition, I believe there are 7 to get us to the finals. Five entries are culled each week (announced on Mondays) and the remaining contestants have to post their next line before midnight the following Friday. There are some fantastic stories taking shape over there.
Sandy :-)
