More on that Snow Day...
Ummm, Keith went out to snow blow the driveway so he can get to work. (Somebody's got to make the city's drinking water.)-785785.jpg)
Then, he promptly put our SUV in the ditch...
Poor, poor, Keith. I'm thinking his snow day is not going as well as mine. I'm gonna go make him some hot chocolate and give him a kiss.
Happy Valentine's Day, Everyone.
Sandy :-)

Gotta love snow days...not
We finally had a snow storm but it wasn't all that bad.
neurotic mom,
I know! Now, my county has declared a State of Emergency until tomorrow morning. Only emergency traffic is allowed on the roads. When all was said and done last night, we had a 31" snowfall. Gah!

Oh that's just terrible! I hope he didn't get hurt. That's a lot of snow and here I am running my A/C LOL
Nah, se7en. Just a bruised ego. ;-)
It all worked out in the end. We have wonderful neighbors who came prepared with shovels and a truck with better 4wd than ours. LOL.
Does it count that we haven't pulled our ACs out of the windows since last summer? What?! Were just early for next summer. ROFLMAO!

Save the snow blower. Save the car...
Oooo! I should have a contest to see who can come up with the best "Save the" line. *eg* I just might do that! Mua ha ha ha Mua Ha Ha Ha HA!

LOL...
I hear ya on the ACs, Sandy. I pulled mine out of the window--and set it on the table that sits right underneath the window. It'll be much easier to install come summer if it's right there instead of down in the basement.
don't know whether need to be thankful or not for not having experience yet to be in snow days. hope things get better.
That's what the dude gets for driving a gas guzzler. Big dude upstairs was just giving him a gentle nudge. Right into that snow bank. ... meow.
aroengbinang,
Living in upstate NY, we expect the snow. In fact, it was a little shocking that we hadn't had much, if any, before now. However, despite having to dig ourselves out, I love when a blanket of fresh, clean snow covers everything. It truly is a winter wonderland and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Oh! Anonymous! ROFL!
Ahhh, but in our defense, our SUV is a "Cute Ute", one of the smaller Sport Utility Vehicles. Not nearly the gas guzzler a Hummer or something like that might be. In fact, it doesn't use much more gas than my company car (Chevy Impala) uses. In hind sight, though, I might have chosen something different. At the time, before I had a company car, I wanted that 4WD, considering the fact that I do live in upstate NY and we do get a lot of snow and I had a very long commute...
Thanks for the comment! *bg*

Perfect illustration of why I choose to live in Northern California.
Though there are probably more SUV's here. You know... for all those HUGE puddles you have to navigate through on the mean streets of San Francisco.
But, Jester, don't you have those pesky earthquakes? I'm thinking I'll take a few snowfalls that melt...umm, eventually, ;-) over my house shaking and rattling above my head. *bg*

Great pictures. I remember the day I got my car stuck in the ditch. The plow had leveled off the ditch as if it was part of the shoulder, so I though I could just turn around on it. But, of course, I sank right in.
Not much risk of that this year, though. We've now had two snow falls big enough for driveway clearing, so far. Last year, that's all we had all year! Whatever happened to clearing the driveway two or three times before Christmas?
We had a snow storm on feb. 13 all night. I had to shovel our driveway as a valentine gift to my hubby...hehehe!
Amabaie, I know what you mean. When I was a kid, we always had snow banks taller than my dad (He's 6'2"). Now, it's rare to see so much snow. Not that I'm complaining. But, I know my kids would love to build a snowman every once in a while. LOL.
ladynred! That is so sweet. And here I was, snapping pictures of my hubby while he was trying to get the car out of the ditch. ROFL! In my defense, I offered to help, he grumbled and told me to stay inside where it was warm. The past 12 years have taught me it is much more pleasant to do my own thing when poor Keith is all Mister-Grumpy-Head. (His reply to my little nickname is: That's Mister-Sunshine-Head to you. Grrrr. God, I love that man! *bg*)

Ewww, thats a lot of snow. Oh man, on Valentines Day, I was hoping and praying to get out of NYC and get home.
Cassie,
Did you get a lot of snow in NYC? I'm about 3.5 to 4 hours north west of NYC so our snowfalls are usually much heavier. But, they get their fair share every once in a while. If you were waiting on a flight, I hope you weren't delayed.
Some way to spend Valentine's Day.
Sandy :-)
