SNOW DAY!!!!!

The kids are bundled up and outside playing in the abundant white stuff. Me? I’ll stay inside where it’s nice and toasty. The cool thing about this snow day is that my job also closed! Wooooo Hoooooo! I get a snow day too!

What will I do with this gift, you may ask? Why, WRITE, of course. I’ve got some hot, hot, hot scenes to get typed in my current project. So, after this post is up, I’ll be getting into the zone. (Minds out of the gutter, people. Sheesh!)

First, I’ve got some updates for everyone. Although I haven’t yet heard back on Andromeda’s Tear, I’m grateful for the fact that it seems to still be in the running. My fingers are definitely crossed for this one. Any good vibes you can send are more than welcome.

Next, as you know, my first guest blogger was Jackie Kessler and it was a total success. Thank you to everyone who sent in questions. I am proud to announce that the guest spot idea has really taken off. I’ve only got a few spots open for the year. Here’s the current schedule. (I’m looking for a good event calendar widget, so if anyone knows of one, please send it my way.)

January - Jackie Kessler - Hell's Belles
February - Terri Garey - Dead Girls are Easy
March - Anna Campbell - Claiming the Courtesan
April - Leslie Dicken - Secret Intentions
May - Tawny Weber - Double Dare
June - Elisa Adams - Secrets Volume 19: Timeless Passions
July - Roberta DeCaprio - Coma Coast
August - Betty Hanawa - More Than She Wished For
September - tbd
October - tbd
November - tbd
December - Barbara Pierce - A Gentleman at Heart

Lastly, I’d like to thank all of my faithful blog readers. According to my web host logs, more than 4,300 unique visitors came to www.sandra.barkevich.com in the month of January. And, as of yesterday, February has already seen 2,751 unique visitors. I am amazed and humbled that so many readers have found entertainment here. So, thank you for your continued visits and support. It doesn’t go unnoticed. In honor of that, I am entering the name of anyone who comments to this post, in a random drawing for your chance to win an autographed copy of Jackie Kessler’s debut novel, Hell’s Belles. Get your comments in before Saturday February 24, 2007. (I’ll put up reminders in subsequent posts, cause I know I’m gonna have something to say before the 24th! LOL.)

Good luck, Everyone!
Sandy :-)

Snow day! YAY! We had a snow day yesterday too, and the day before. Unfortunately, yesterday we were without electricity for most of the day so it took some of the fun out of it :-(

We had a snow day, too. I have to say, I was sort of hoping we wouldn't get any major storms this year.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but Google has a calendar you can embed in your blog. www.google.com/calendar

Elisa, I'm with you. I was hoping winter would kind of just pass us by. Oh well.

Thanks for the tip with Google calendar. I have looked into it but it isn't exactly what I'm looking for. Wordpress has a great one. However, since I'm not using Wordpress...LOL. I guess I'll have to keep searching for one that does what I'm looking for.

I'm jealous! If we had snow here in Florida, they wouldn't call it a snow day, they'd call it a national emergency, lol. (And I'm really a born and bred Texan, I just live here.) :-)
Take care and keep warm!

Heather,
Thanks! I'm glad the weekend is here. It took me a half hour to travel the 8 minute drive to the thru-way. Luckily, I planned ahead so I still got to work on time this morning.

Azrin,
Since I didn't have to shovel any of that snow, I love it too! LOL.

ROFL!

neurotic mom, I know the feeling. I am a total blog fiend. Though my two snow days turned out to be very productive on the writing front. I was going to update my word meter, but the zokutou site seems to be down. I have to look for a new, more dependable meter. In any case, I got three, in my opinion, excellent scenes done and more are brewing in my mind. So, there is more writing planned for today.

Glad to see you didn't have any problems posting your comment this time. Good luck with the drawing.

hehehe... when you mention 'hot, hot, hot scene......', my mind couldn't help falling right into the gutter. That's what I would do if Singapore has a snowy day -what a way to keep warm!

Snow day? What is this thing you call "snow"? :) Florida girl, here - we get "hurricane" days every now and then.

Looks like you've got a great line-up of guest bloggers, Sandy! :)

Hmmm, eastcoastlife, I guess you can keep your mind in the gutter then. LOL. The hot, hot, hot scenes I was talking about are totally gutter worthy. I was referring to my preparation for writing said hot, hot, hot scenes. ;-)

Terri, no snow huh? Ever? We might have to get you up here to enjoy a little of the white stuff. It's fun when you don't have to be anywhere. LOL.

SNOW? I haven't seen snow in over a year...And I don't miss it. I lived in Boston for a short stint during winter a few years back. I've never lived in a place that snows before. I stayed indoors for about 2 months, gained 15 lbs and needless to say as soon as the snow stopped I left...never to turn back and even consider trying that again.

:)

Thanks for reading my blog.
Cheers!

Hi,
Paros had a snow day, actually a snow hour, 4 years ago. Locals say it was the first in 50 years.
The House of Literature in Lefkes has open dates for nearly free writer's residency. Read more on my blog.

Cheers,

WINTER..I love winter..here in good ol' missouri you never know what you will get. We have had so much snow and ice this year that i am pretty sure that the kids will have no spring break left after they make up their SNOW DAYS!!!

Paros Shepherd,

Wow! The House of Literature sounds like a dream. I can't wait until I qualify for a stay there. Thank you so much for sharing.

tanjuasue,

I've read about how hard your area has been hit. I hope your power hasn't been cut off at all. A friend of mine in Ohio lost power several times due to the ice. Hope your spring comes soon.

We had an ice day here in Austin a few weeks ago. It was awesome, until my boss decided to pick me up from home to take me to work. In my opinion, if I can't get into my car, I can't work. Done.

Man, Cassie, your boss must have really wanted you at work that day. Luckily, I live far from any of my bosses. I doubt they'd brave the weather just to get me to my desk. LOL.
