Blog-Off for Breast Cancer

Courtney, at Five Second Dance Party, is hosting the first ever Blog-off for Breast Cancer. Each week, the 17 participants, of which I am one, post about a pre-determined topic. This week is Laughter. My post will be coming later this evening. I have to say, laughter is much harder to write about than I thought it would be…

In other news, my cousin and his wife are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl, Leilani. She has two older brothers who are already very protective of her. But, I’ve seen pictures and I think it’s only a matter of time before little Leilani has them both in headlocks and her daddy wrapped around her little finger. You go, Leilani! Welcome to our family. I can’t wait to meet you in a couple of weeks. I know Amelia and Jonas are very excited about their new little cousin.

Also, and I know this is late, Sharon and I have made it to round 10 of Karin Tabke’s 1st Line Contest. Whooooo Hooooo! Dancin’ Round the Computer. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this contest ROCKS! Here is my entry with the next line added. As always, you can see all entries at Karin Tabke’s Blog:

Elizabeth squeezed her eyes tight and turned her face away from the wicked-looking blade. She’d seen what it could do. Knew first hand the destruction it could bring.

The death.

“Please,” she whispered, a tear slipping down her cheek. “I...I can’t do this.”

Cold steel grazed the skin exposed by her low bodice and she flinched. Her tormentor shifted closer in the confined carriage. “Oh, but you will. You know the consequences if you don’t, Lizzy.”

Wish us luck!

Also, make sure you stop by on Saturday, March 31st. Avon-Romance author, Anna Campbell, will be here to guest blog. Her debut novel, Claiming the Courtesan, is already getting excellent reviews. I certainly can't wait for its release. Keep an eye out for my next book give-away.

That's it for now. Blog-off post on Laughter, coming shortly…

Stay tuned!
Sandy :-)
